Look, let’s be honest. Sometimes parents need cocktail hour. And let me preface this by saying PLEASE drink responsibly. If you can’t drink responsibly then please reach for a non-alcoholic cocktail or plan ahead and have a designated driver/parent on hand. Anything less is inexcusable. But you do work hard and you do deserve a cocktail hour every now and then to reward yourself for the supreme effort you put forth every day. Don’t worry non-parents, you can still enjoy cocktail hour as well. We know you work hard too, but it’s a little harder for parents to hit the pause button. Those kids just keep going and going like little energizer bunnies! 🙂
If you’re wondering how do you make a strawberry daiquiri, you’re in luck. It’s pretty gosh darn easy. The Daiquiri is a cocktail characterized by rum, lime juice, and something sweet. There are a lot of variations within this theme. Perhaps this pineapple daiquiri is your thing? Or maybe you want to try a Maple Daiquiri?
The options are many, but we love Coconut Rum Strawberry Daiquiris. Maybe it’s just our love for strawberry season and fresh strawberries. And whenever we first started making these daiquiris we bought Malibu Coconut Rum and that has become our go to rum when making these daiquiris; hands down, it’s the best rum for strawberry daiquiris (we think). There are only 2 other ingredients in this cocktail so that’s about as easy as it gets. We always freeze many quarts of strawberries during strawberry season knowing we can then pull them out throughout the year for use in these daiquiris and for homemade strawberry ice cream.
We also love pairing this cocktail with our simple Spicy Garlic Shrimp (coming soon!).
On to the easy 3 ingredient strawberry daiquiri recipe:

Ingredients
- 1 quart slightly thawed frozen strawberries
- 6 oz limeade concentrate
- 6 oz Malibu Coconut Rum (or rum of your choice or leave out for virgin daiquiris)
Instructions
- Take out approximately 1 quart of frozen strawberries and let them thaw slightly.
- Add strawberries to blender.
- And the limeade and rum and blend.
- Add ice if you need to thicken it or limeade if you need to thin it.
- Drink and enjoy.
